Good Evening, just like to introduce myself, my Name is Bruce , I’ve just joined this forum , I’ve owned a 3.8 F.H.C since 1985 , I had it on the road for a year after I bought it , then it was put away in my garage where it has been ever since , it’s time now to get it back on the road , so I’m sure I will have lots of questions to ask you clever people

But it's simple really: disassemble everything, renew/rebuild everything that needs renewed or rebuilt, then reassemble and drive!

Seriously though, I did mine by system (fuel, brakes, cooling, electrical, engine, etc) over many years, and by doing it in discreet chunks it was never off the road for more 6 months at a time. But then it was more or less drivable (though not safely) when purchased. So if the body on your car is serviceable, a 'rolling refurbishment' is very doable. If the body has any real rust, well, you will get much advice, none of which is likely to make you happy.
