Hi,
I'm from Paris, sorry for my English
I just bought a 1962 OTS sold in France in 1962. The restauration will start this month, I can't wait for driving it in 2023 I hope.
I will keep the original color : opalescent dark blue which is on the JDH certificate, but I will change the interior color, black is too sad for me.

Bien venu!
Looks like you have an excellent base from which to start. Hopefully you have all the other pieces!

Welcome to the best place for advice and help for your E Type build. Ask questions and people will do their best to help, and don’t worry if you struggle for the correct English words, one way or another the important information will be understood and you’ll get the answers you need. And you speak English much better than 99% of us speak French!
Please add your name and car model to the signature area. It’s much nicer to respond by using your name and when you ask questions it’ll be easier for everyone to answer appropriately for which car you have.
Good luck
Geoff

Hi Harry,
Your engine is obviously ready to be reassembled, block surfaced, crankshaft rectified, new pistons etc...
All the resources you need are in the "The E-Type Knowledge Base" section. Everything is available for download to make your work easier.
Of course, the Forum's essentials will help you in case of problems. (Don't forget to research your problem first, though).
Also, check all the pages of "Serie1 / FACTORY FIT - serie 3.8l" for a reassembly according to the original. For example, the 2 aluminium arrowed parts are for a 4.2L and are not present in 1962.

Reassembling the engine is a real pleasure, the bodywork a long way...especially the adjustment of the bonnet parts and the triming. Patience is the key word for a successful restoration.
Last points, did the previous owner give you a detailed photo file of all the disassembly phases and are you going to do the job yourself ?
In all case good purchase!
Mich
