#1 Welcome to a New Forum Moderator

Post by Heuer » Fri Dec 24, 2010 5:54 pm

As the Forum is getting increasingly busy we thought it would be sensible to have another Moderator to help out. Please welcome Angus Moss (1954etype) who will be assisting MarkE and myself in keeping things moving. Angus has a huge amount of knowledge having restored 4 E-Type's, past involvement in the E-Type Register of the JDC and contributing articles to the JEC magazine. He also has some good ideas to improve content :D

Well done Angus. You obviously have a lot of detailed knowledge and experience to draw upon and bring to the E Type community. I've been a little sidetracked this year as I've been starting to build an on-line library for the Lotus Cortina, which must be the most poorly defined / covered car from the 60s as far as I can tell! The upside from the E type viewpoint is that it has engaged the brain with regards structuring information, which may be useful for this forum.

I hope to be a bit more proactive with this forum next year whilst enjoying the S1, and indeed getting the S3 on the road for the first time in a few years.

It's a lot of work, this retirement gig!

Great news !
With more than 500 members, more than 10000 posts, this forum grew up to become a great ressource for E-Type owners. Thanks to all involved so far (particularly David, MarkE and Harry !). But now, with Angus added to the strong team, another step forward 8) Many thanks Angus

Angus,

As the man who put me onto my E type, I look forward to more of your advise, now and in your new formal role. I am never sure if congratulation is the right word as I am sure the salary does not match a bankers annual bonus.

So the word I choose is thank you for your time which I am sure David will confirm is endless but not thankless. (or sometimes you may wonder).

Well done and I look forward to meeting you sometime.

Many thanks Angus for giving up some of your time to help out with our increasingly busy Forum.

I would also like to thank all members for their continued support and contributions which makes the forum and i would like to wish everyone a good 2011.

We should make E 50 a good opportunity to have a meet up.
Harry

Aah, always refreshing to see the innocence of youth - or in your case the triumph of hope over experience!
