Hello from Belgium. Thank you for accepting me into this forum.
I just joigned it a few days ago as I bought my first (and probably last) E-Type : serie 1, 4,2l, DHC from 1967 (imported from USA in Europe about 25 years ago).
I used to first drive a TR3, then an Austin Healey MK1. And now "le nec + ultra" : the most beautifull classic car.
Up to now I don't know much about the engine & mechanical specifications of this E-Type, and I hope to find these informations in this forum.
If there are E-Type owners living near my city (Liège), I'll be really glad to communicate with them.
Best regards

Guy, welcome to the best place for all things E Type. Please add your car type and name to your signature (top right click on your user name) that way when you ask questions people will know which version it refers to.
All the books to buy are listed in the knowledge section and if you look in there you’ll also find downloadable pages from the workshop manual. But, please buy a copy to have to hand. Amazon have them.
If you expect to buy parts then it is worth joining either the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club or the Jaguar Drivers Club as SNG Barratt, one of the major suppliers, gives a discount which will easily pay for your membership.
Ask questions and you’ll get lots of friendly help and advice. Also the search function is very useful. Sometimes you need to search for one word, then within the results you can search for another.
Good luck and happy E Type motoring
Geoff
