Hello folks, registered last year, I think, but forgot password so reregistered. Own a '64 (crossover model) 3.8 FHC for about 11 years. Had been restored but still needed lots of 'looking at'. Been a steep learning curve although it has flattened out over the last few years! BRG with suede green interior [should be Opalescent dark Green]. See car on XKE data, chassis no.861605.

Welcome David, Lucky you being located in Perthshire! I know Comrie like the back of my hand (ancestral homeland).

Hi David, I am a relative newbie as well, forum is great, my "fully restored" car required about 30 jobs doing, getting through them, the list is now nearer 15, hope to have most of them finished off before end of March, biggest one is intermittent loss of speedo which looks to be a gearbox out job, will see how the time goes before tackling that one, most satisfying job of late was fitting a new stereo/MP3 player which looks old, I was concerned it would look tacky but after some minimal modification it looks just right!
