#1 First reg of e type in uk

Post by robert cooper » Thu Nov 10, 2011 8:54 pm

Hi all. I am keenly awaiting my e type to arrive from the us at the end of this month. Is there any advice to register it under any special reg for older classics like cheeper tax's and reg fee. Also where can I get the front stick on plate. Can I get a special classic plate for the back? Black and chrome?

Welcome to the Forum. You can order the stick on plates and original style rear plates from Tipper's http://www.tippersvintageplates.co.uk/ They are not cheap though! Other supplier's can be found in the Forum Knowledge Base under the 'links' thread.

I bought a stick on front plate from a supplier on Ebay. It was on 3M material and is very good quality. Price was quite cheap about ?7 if I remember correctly.

The stick on one's are cheap, it is the original raised ACE aluminium characters for the rear that are expensive because stocks are very limited - about ?80/plate but they do look superb.
