Hi
My name is Ian Irving and I spend my summers touring in Europe. The rest of the year I live in Vanuatu near Fiji in the western Pacific. I've recently retired and have just bought and will drive from next year a 1970 series 2 OTS 4.2 litre. I brought it into France from the USA so it is US spec except that it has been fitted with triple SU's and a stainless exhaust system. The car is number 1R 11453, yellow with black interior. It is an older renovation done in or around 2002, well looked after and used and shown sparingly since then and in what seems to be very good condition. I haven't yet had chance to put any miles on it because the French registration process is slow and tortuous at the moment so it won't get done till next year when I return to Europe. I also drive a Healey 3000 BJ8 which has had an OD problem this year during which time I found it a tiring drive. I am contemplating with the E Type finding a 3.07 or 2.88 diff for the car to reduce the revs for cruising though I don't do motorways very often so I'll probably drive it a bit first to see how it goes. No doubt you'll hear from me if and when I get any problems.
