New member looking for an expert in/around Amsterdam

Hello,

I have been dreaming to buy an e-type for some time now. I have found one that looks good in Amsterdam. How could I find an expert who can inspect the car before buying it?

Hi Ovidiu,

I do not know any experts around Amsterdam but you might want to consider following options:

Talk to Ben Kolvenbach ( ( he runs company Kolvenbach in the south of Holland (look on Internet) and he restores jaguars etypes and I have worked with him a few times. He is very knowledgeable and nice and may want to help ( probably for a fee).

Buy and take the excellent little book from Peter Crespin ( also on this forum)
, entitled : "Jaguar E type: the essential buyers guide" It contains a wealth of information on what to look out for when buying an etype. ( Trust me, I do not have any shares in that book : )

Finally, you can contact either the Dutch jaguar club or the Dutch representative of the etype club in Holland, Maarten Koenen ( Email me and I will give you his contact details) . I do not know him personnally but he might help.
