Hi to all,
I am new to this forum, joined only couple of weeks back to follow the EDIS topic developped by David.
I have been on the JL forum since several years, at first during the restoration process and then for the maintenance and occasional surprises. A great forum in all respects, with quite supportive fellows around. It is pleasant to note that some are active here too!
I have a '69 OTS, BRG with beige interior. Similar to what others have experienced, a kid's dream, bought it in 1994 in a 90% dismantled state, body and various boxes. It should have been ready for my wedding... few years later, much sweat and blood, it is ready for my kids'.
I live in the suburbs of Brussels, and enjoy driving it whenever possible.
Once a year, either during spring or summer, together with my wife and few friends with classic cars, we usually take a trip to some charming places in the south of France. The car is quite reliable as so far have faced only two incidents: one ignition relay (sourced a Renault alternative from the nearest junkyard), and the second more serious as the water pump broke down on the Paris p?riph?rique at peak hours.
Couple of years ago met with Erik-Antwerp on part of the rally he had organized with his nice wife, and lately exchanged mails with Neil.
Not familiar yet with how to post pics, will get acquainted soon with that.
Meanwhile, looking forward to a great exchange with all around.
Cheers,
Ralph
