Hello to all,
As a Jag lover, I am 54 and thinking seriously that the time arrived by owning such a jewel. Being a Enthusiast Classis Car Fan, I restored already by my self an MGA Roadster, which i bought in London some years ago to a very nice and serious Guy: really very happy with that deal. Some pictures at:
http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web ... ga/MGA.htm
Now I am at te research to find some cat, preferible Coupe one. Have had a look to some Dealer in Holland, bu a bit dissapointed because in two places i ivisited, the cars where just 1 inch one appart the another one: imposible to have a detailed look.
Any recomendation very wellcome.
Regards,

#3 Car in search
Hello, David,
Thank you; i will post everything. Just I am searching for a 2+2 Series 1.5 , 2 or just in case a Series 3, Manual Gear Box, for an easy restoration: without needing to weld, complete, and in a running stage; they are my goals.
Any info abot such a car in sale, would be very appreciated.
I forgot to mention LHD.

Don't worry too much about LHD/RHD as conversion is relatively easy and well documented. In fact converting from RHD to LHD means there is an abundance of parts and you could do the swap for little money. There is an S3 for sale here: http://www.etypeuk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3449 if you are interested. Keep us informed.

Yes, but i am trying to get originallity too, and have had a view already this advertisment. I will have a think, but with in so nice shape, would I not be vandalic by converting it to lhd?

All E-Type body shells went down the line as being capable of LHD or RHD according to the customer specification and market. Changing it is not considered to be vandalism or particularly frowned upon. Some of the nicest cars here have been converted from LHD to RHD (Angus Moss's OTS, Mark's S1 FH and S3 OTS) so nor reason not to go the other way. The conversion requires parts but nothing on the car is modified permanently. Having said that the best preserved cars are probably going to be LHD examples from the USA so that is where I would look.

Depends on your budget which will obviously need to include shipping and tax. Never personally bought a car from the US but it could be a bit of a minefield unless you are prepared to go over there and have a look yourself. Other alternative is to see if Harry at E Type UK knows of anything as he regularly goes over to California on buying trips but you will be paying him some commission for his time and expertise. Do you see this one (in Spain): http://tinyurl.com/cutqa56
Incidentally you should try using http://www.jaguarauctionwatch.com/ because that helps a great deal in eBay searches and it is free. For example it found this one which looks to be a really nice original car: http://www.jaguarauctionwatch.com/
