#1 Hello from Norway

Hi, I apologize for starting asking questions without introducing myself, but here I am:

Last year I was looking for an AH 3000 MKIII. I had chosen this model because of the 2+2 configuration I hoped the extra seats would give me opportunity to use the car a little bit more together with my family than if it were a two seater. And I wanted a roadster. I had been looking for a while, but hadn?t found the right one for me. One day last October I was looking at a Healey 90 minutes away and I knew there was an E-type for sale in the neighborhood. I thought I could pop by and take a quick look at it. This was the first E-type I was looking at. It was a 1968 OTS Series 1,5. The owner had started a partly restoration some years ago, but because of bad health he had to give up the project. I was in love? Drove home and bought Pete?s buyers guide. Read all night and a few days later the car was mine. I probably did every mistake you can do when buying an E-type?.
The car was almost finished when I bought it. The work he had spared for me was the complete interior, door locks and windows, all chrome and lights, rubbers and some other small details. The plan was to get the car on the road before the summer, but everything takes longer time than planned. And I like to do things properly. I have also added some more tasks like changing the heather transfer pipes.
The plan now is to fix the most important stuff and get number plates. Then I can use the car a little and continue to do more things while I am using it. I am also planning a EDIS/Megajolt conversion. I am also planning on doing a SU conversion. The car is a US car with twin stranglebergs but I got a triple SU setup with a 3,8 inlet manifold as extra when I bought the car. In addition I got a spare cylinder head that PO told me was tuned/ported in some way.
When I start to use the car I will probably find some other flaws that have to be sorted out as well. Because the car wasn?t finished I never test drove the car before I bought it?.
