#1 New Member from South Africa - Taking over abandoned project

Post by calypso » Thu Nov 29, 2012 7:47 pm

Hi
I really should have found this site earlier. My father and I got an Series 1 4.2 around a year ago. It was an abandoned restoration project. Mechanically it was pretty well sorted, but had no interior and was missing alot of trim.
Here some pics:

The light is decieving, makes the paint look great. But the car actually needs a respray. Upclose there are runs and defects all over. Looks like really poor prep prior to the respray.
