Hi All
Just bought a 1967 4.2lt S1 Coupe 2+2 last week. She's number 590 of 974 RHD's built. Always thought of the E-type as one of the sexiest cars ever built and now i'm the proud owner of one! I've driven her a few times out in the winelands countryside and love the sound and power she puts out. Certainly a 'headturner' too.
She's in need of LOTS of work and I'm planning to do a full restoration so i'm pretty sure what I'll be busy with for the next few years :)
Right now i'm doing research, research, research while I await arrival of the several manuals i've bought. Also buying tools, re-organising the garage and having racking installed for all the little bits that will be coming off.
I'm looking forward to tapping the collective brainstrust present on this forum since I know i'll be running into a kazillion challenges along the way.
Looking forward to our interactions.
Emanuel

Hi Emanuel & welcome from a fellow S1 2+2 owner.
I am part way through a restoration on mine, most metalwork and welding completed on the tub, the bonnet now awaiting to be attacked!
Purchase plenty of racking and storage IMO, you can never have enough and a dismantled car occupies so much space :?
You will find plenty of help on here, plenty of guys with vast experience of these cars and one of the best resources I have found.
