New member Fleet, Hampshire UK with basket case 1962 3.8 FHC

Hello Forum! I have recently joined and I am looking forward to benefiting from everyone's restoration experience but first a bit about me... I have had my car for many years but for most of that time it has been in my garage undergoing serious body restoration. Like many people I have had other committments which have got in the way and work has been on hold for too long (and to be truthful I got bogged down with the scale of some of the work). Stumbling across the forum recently and also seeing some of the excellent restoration stories on the web has prompted me to get started again!

So, the car is a 3.8 FHC chassis 860659 registered in August 1962 and will eventually return to the original Opalascent Dark Green but currently undergoing serious metal surgery to front bulkhead, windscreen supports etc. All practical advice and support gratefully received!

Very encouraging to know the support is out there! I will try some photos but my small garage makes it a little difficult. Serious front bulkhead work in progress at the moment requiring new o/s windscreen pillar after I fabricate new dash panels, box section stiffeners etc...
