#1 brief ?intro from longtime owner

Post by dutch » Sun Mar 29, 2009 8:11 pm

Hello to fellow enthusiasts, have had the 69,2+2 since 1980,(second owner)she's in pretty good nick and very original without any nut and bolt rebuild, only got 46000 on the clock but I must confess that I have rather neglected her over the last dozen or so years having had other things to occupy my time.
I moved to southwest France near the Spanish border 6 years ago and had her trailed down a year later,I'm just starting to sort her out as this country presents the ideal environment in which to enjoy the car with miles of empty roads and beautiful motorways.I will of course have to reregister in France, change the headlights and unfortunately surrender the original logbook unless anyone knows of any wrinkles to avoid this.
Thought I'd join the forum to catch up with modern Etype chat.

Hi Dutch,

sounds like a great car. A warm welcome to this forum. You will find these guys very helpful and knowledgeable.

You are indeed in a great region over there (with lots of good food!!). Enjoy and hopefully we will meet up on the road.

Sorry, cannot help you with the reregistration question.

cheers
