i am going to buy soon a coup? and i would like to get in contact with an E type expert in the region of Basel or Freiburg, or with somebody who has experience with E type: i need some help before buying, as i don't want to make a big mistake.

Not easy , Marc, but it may be worthwhile asking CMC at Bridgnorth, UK if they have anyone who could look at it for you, as they do have staff in Germany not infrequently . Nick Goldthorp is the man to talk to

Carsten, it doesn't make sense to make you coming from so far in the North... If anyone with experience with E type maintenance is near Basel or Freiburg, that would make it a bit easier to drive you to the car and have your expert's opinion.

Have a look at the german forum for a user called WagStefan.
He should be around Cologne if my memory is still what it used to be. And he owns 2 or 3 VERY early cars, so I think he?d know what and where to look for.
I am in G?ttingen.
