#1 New member restoring a 1963 OTS

Post by Mich7920 » Sun Mar 15, 2015 5:58 pm

Hello everybody,

Nobody's perfect, I'm French...

I just get a 1963 OTS and it's revival will begin soon.

I already restored a 1965 FHC there's 20 years ago.
My wife et I have a lot of marvelous moments with it.
We drive wth it each time it's possible.

I join "The E Type" Club" this year. First time in a club and first time also in a forum.
As a student applied, I begin to read this section by the 21th page.
A long way for me to arrive at the 1st!

Kind regards
Michel

Hi. Welcome to the forum. it's always great to have new members especially if they are French as this is where we Brits go to break down. Having friendly French E Type owners nearby is really good! Please show us some photos. I am looking for a 62/63 OTC myself.

Good luck with your search; those are the rarest models.

Hi Mark,

I don't realy know if it's rare but sure it's expensive.
The car is still at NY so I'm waiting for the sentence. Even if you have a lot of photos, the reality is better.

Hi Andrewh,

If you'll go to Parthenay ( between Poitiers and Niort ) you'll be welcome.
Not the greatest French land for our E Type but there is the "marais Poitevin" near wich this is very great as the show " Puit du fou".
In the History Parthenay had been also a Back stage for the British soldiers in 1215 during one of the war against French and British.
We have a very old castle with rampart. Interesting to have a look

Best regard
Michel

Hi Lataud,

Thanks for the wellcome, it's very tempting !
Wine and "long nose" what a great couple...Not on the road of course.

Today I just finish the jig for my OTS.
At what stage of your restoration are you ?
