Hi all,
Just joined up, as I am starting to learn about all things e-type as I am looking to buy a S2 FHC to run in the next 6 months for a while before restoration & yes, I have already spoken to Moss Jaguar.
Look forward to learning lots along the journey :!:

Hi and welcome! Probably a good time of the year price wise to start looking; before next spring.

Hi & Welcome to the forum. It is truly a mine of information with plenty of help available should you need it. Where abouts in West Sussex are you, you can't be too far away?

Hi Steve,
I'm in Pulborough, if you have an e-type currently, I would like to meet up & have a chat :) Looking at buying a S2 FHC this year as a rolling restoration or clean runner to use

Well, after a search lasting 8 months, I finally found what I wanted.
It's a rolling restoration, 1970 S2 FHC matching numbers in vgc from California in White with Black leather.

Hopefully will be "on the road" in the UK in May & at the moment the only thing I'm changing is LHD to RHD & I will run it through the summer & see how she settles down & what needs sorting.

I just want to say a "big thanks" to Angus @ Moss Jaguar for all his help with the search and for finding me this little gem !

Here she is Stateside !

Congratulations! Great looking car and a far better way into E-Type ownership than buying a "project in need of full restoration". Where does Angus find these things?

Lovely car! Well done!

Are you planning on enjoying the first season in LHD mode, use the time to collect all the RHD bits, and then convert autumn - winter? Or cracking on with conversion straight away?

Whilst I like LHD when abroad, I hate it in the UK, so I'm changing just that straight away to RHD :)

Great colour. Exciting times eh?

What's your take on the red-banded tyres?

Initial thoughts, I don't like them - however I need to take delivery of the car, see what they are like & make up my mind ?

Tyres have now been changed for new ones as the originals were shot.

Car is nearing LHD to RHD conversion completion by Stuart of Rectory Classics & should be delivered next week - cant wait to get my first drive after 10 months of waiting ! :)

Hi All,
Here's the update.

I have had the car up and running since June in full RHD and have now completed 1500 miles including a week's holiday in Devon with only one minor breakdown when the voltage regulator failed.

Now I am really enjoying "driving the dream" with special thanks to
Angus (Moss Jaguar) for finding, commissioning & fettling the car and also to Stuart (Rectory Classics) for the last minute RHD conversion that I wanted.

Next part of the plan, is a winter 2015/16 external bare body full repaint to restore the car to it's former glory still in the "Old English White"

Regards
Mike

What's the story on the number plate?

It's my initials on a previously never released DVLA plate that I won at auction 2 years ago which I thought would suit the E Type
