:D Hello Chaps,
I have just completed the purchase of my dream car, a 1964 S1 OTS and I couldn't be happier.
It will be delivered to me the first week in April which is when I expect I will be calling on your collective experience and knowledge as I find my way around the car.
So, for all the silly questions you may have to put up with, may I say sorry in advance.

#5 New owner of a project
Hi I am a new boy who bought a body and a load of boxes that should come together to become a 71 series 3 FHC. Since I have had it (Dec' 2013) I have fitted 2 new floor pans both rear wheel arches and lots more besides. I have the car set up like a spit roast suspended between two 450kg engine stands that I had to modify by cutting them in half and extending the upright with a length of channel iron. (I bet that voided the warranty). All the body is just about finished now so this summer I should be able to get different parts refurbished and start assembling it.
Because of the state of the car to get it to satisfy a purist would take a lottery win but I am enjoying building a car I have held as a dream machine since I was a kid.
When I get better at this I will try to upload some pictures.
John

Ian, Malcolm, Andrew,
Thank you all for your kind welcome. The car should be with me this afternoon however, due to a DVLA foul up, I can't drive it yet as it has not been registered. Hopefully sometime next week then I can take it to Snetterton for the Jaguar Racing.
