My name is Simon and over the past 30 years I have made my way through pre war sports and saloon cars, Rileys and Wolseleys. I have dabbled with a plethora of classic British, German and Japanese motorbikes too. Earlier in the year I came slightly more up to date and bought a rather nice TR3. Now bitten by the more usable nature of post war cars it now has to go as I have a burning desire for an E type to restore - and that is why I have joined the forum.

I bought a FHC three years ago. A runner but not perfect. Remember that bodywork repairs are tricky unless you are a good welder and have the correct jig and space to work. I found a car with a straight body that just required a lot of fiddly tidying. Best thing I ever bought. You will not regret owning an E type I promise! Good luck. J

I bought a very straightforward 2+2 S2 in Jan 2015 and I enjoy every minute spent on restoring the car (never had any bad surprise so far - knock on wood); only my wife complains being a garage widow...
