#1 E type gearbox

Does anybody know if a V12 gearbox will fit in a mark 1 2+2. They look the same??

Hi Paul,
Yes it will with the correct bell housing to suit the XK engine. The 2+2 floor plan from series 1 to 3 is the same in that area as far as I can tell, however, that is from experience, not having got my tape measure out!
If it is already a manual car the gear linkage, will be in the correct place. The V12 manual boxes normaly have a serial number starting KL.
