#1 Welcome to the E-Type Forum (Please read me!)

Welcome to the E-Type Forum. Please feel free to look around and make use of our rapidly increasing E-Type resources. Although not compulsory take a few minutes to Register with the Forum. Don't worry we won't bombard you with adverts, emails or sell your details but registering does encourage existing members to feel their posts and information are valued by others.

If you have something to contribute jump in with a post, nobody will shoot you down in flames whatever the E-Type content. We are not limited to the UK so E-Type owners from around the world are encouraged to join in.

If you have registered do check to see you have filled in the 'location' box in your Profile. Even if it just county, state or perhaps country it means other members may be able to help you source parts or assistance locally. Whilst in 'Profile' please add your model and engine type into your signature to help others diagnose any problems you may have. In your User Control Panel you can set your preferences including choosing the Forum style that suits you. One advantage of registering and logging on is you will see which forums contain new posts (highlighted in orange) since your last visit. You can also subscribe to a thread and get email notifications when a response is posted.

Looking for something specific? Please first check the Library in the as it has links to most things and is constantly updated with new information.

Feel free to recommend but do not denigrate suppliers as such comments could get the Forum closed down. If you feel 'guidance' is justified do it via a PM. If you are dissatisfied with the service you receive take it up with the vendor. If you are delighted feel free to post it here

Finally take a moment to visit our two sponsors, E-Type UK who specialise in E-Type restoration/sales and the E-Type Club who produce an excellent glossy monthly magazine dedicated to the car. Click on the large logos top left and right to get to their sites.

The E-Type Forum is totally independent of the E-Type Club although we carry their logo (and that of our main sponsor E Type UK) on the masthead. We do have a cordial relationship with the Club and I have contact with Abigail should one of their members have problems logging on here. So, for clarity:

1. Being a member of the E-Type Club does not automatically create a membership of this Forum, although all are welcome.

2. Being a member of this Forum does not give you membership of the E-Type Club, partake in their events or be eligible for Club discounts.

3. You do not need to be a member of any of the Jaguar Club's to join this Forum or post here. Again all are welcome.

4. The Forum was created by Harry Fulford of E Type UK and is hosted on his servers. Harry does not have the time to get involved with the Forum (although he visits it regularly) or seek any gain from his sponsorship which speak's volumes for the man himself and his Company. Please occasionally click on his logo at the top of the page and see what he has going on if only as a way of saying thanks!

5. Harry asked me to administer the Forum on his behalf, add information and to encourage greater use. I am not paid for this and it is not my Forum, it belongs to you the members. I am ably assisted by Mark and Angus who also give their time freely and of course all those who happily jump in to share their knowledge and passion.

6. As the Forum is free to join and use we do not have the resources to pay for stand's or have a presence at E-Type events. Anything that is organised tends to be a loose collective of like minded individuals.
