Hello There,
I'm here the first time and I've registered in order to learn as much as possible about E-Types. I intend to buy one and I need to inform myself in order to avoid too many mistakes.
I'm after a 1st series 4.2l and I think I've found one, but I want to be sure ...
ciao
andy

Hello Andy
Welcome to the forum, you'll get lots of help and advice here.
If you need advice then post your questions, also read through the knowledge section which will give you a good insight into the E Type, useful books to buy and read to help you get a good example.
As everyone will advise, a rust free car is the most important criteria as bodywork is expensive to sort out.
All the best
Geoff

Geoff is right. The three things to look for are rust, rust and rust!!! Plenty of info on here and in the myriad of books to be had on buying an e type. Welcome and good luck.

Hi Andy.....if you want really good advice on the car you have found then post a link to it here so that forum members can have a look and give some info to you....they may even know the cars history.....dont worry about someone jumping in and buying it .....if its for sale and someone is looking they will already have seen it...all the best.. Hi Andy welcom to the forum, as previously mentioned friendly groupe of enthusiast here, I have just acquired a rust free series 1.5 stalled restoration project, has taken a few years to find the right example for the right price, it's currently waiting to be shipped backed to the UK from Texas.
Good luck with your serch...
Julian.
