#1 STOLEN - ANK 978G

Post by Jbloohn » Mon Oct 17, 2016 12:34 pm

Hi,

My first post and it's to say please help!

My sii 4.2 e-type which I have owned for 25 years was stolen last night 1.30am-5am in Didcot.

The car is red with tan (smooth leather) interior and a black hood.

Has a Hayward & Scott stainless over frame exhaust.

Please contact me 07971 188693 if you see or hear anything,

Thanks,

Jonathan.

Get the Chassis, Engine, Gearbox, Body, Axle numbers on here as well. It will then show up on a google search and help if someone tries to move it on.

Suggest you update http://www.xkedata.com with all the details including VIN and engine number. You should indeed publish the VIN details here so we can keep an eye out; it also means the car becomes toxic, until returned.

John

Very distressing indeed to hear of this theft.

What were the circumstances? Garage broken into? Parked on street? Hotel car park? what security did the car have?

Looks like there is an active E-type pinching crew in the Home Counties/M25 area.

The theft of this and the recent one in Kent must have been recorded on hundreds of CCTV systems, unless they are stolen using a covered transporter.

Very sorry to hear it.

Very depressing news. There is undoubtedly a gang of professional thieves operating. This is the latest one after the recent Kent disappearance, the white FHC that vanished off a road in North London, and the one that vanished off a motor way in Belgium.

I have to say that the Police will not be terribly interested....to them it is just another stolen car.

I know where in Essex (car thief central) mine was recovered from.

I will keep my fingers crossed for a positive result but I have not heard anything positive about the other ecent thefts so I am not optimistic..
