Series 2 2 + 2
#1 Series 2 2 + 2
Hello to all, I have just bought a Series 2 2 + 2 1969. Its in excellent condition and has been well cared for by its previous 6 owners, the first of which kept fastidious records for over 20 years. It is my first jag, I have always owned Morgans previously, so going from one British icon to another! As I am getting older, (60+)I need something a little more practical for my wife and I and I always wanted an e type.

Thanks Geoff, will post some photos when I have got the hang of things!
1969 2 + 2 in Willow green with suede green leather. 140,000 miles on clock, well 40,000 actually, but 100,000 done by first owner to 1990 and 40,000 miles since. Several engine rebuilds, bodywork, transmission etc work over the years. Matching numbers and Heritage certificate (October 1969).
I have had the car about 3 weeks and covered about 400 miles, including 100 at night in the rain which was fun trying to find wipers, washers, main beam on separate switches! Everything works and I am getting to know the car.

Owning an E-Type has many advantages. Everyone loves the car as it possesses the authority of being capable of 150 mph and in the opinion of Enzo Ferrari being the most beautiful car ever made. They also know that recently six 'new' E-Types made by Jaguar were sold at over £1million each. Owning a 2+2 brings all these known facts, despite their questionable provenance, at something a good deal less than £1million.
And there is room in the car for a significant other and two of your 2.4.
