For some time I’ve been aware that the screen wash nozzles on my car are loose and facing strange angles.
So I’ve now sorted it, dash top off, cubby box out, wiper rack disconnected , rev counter out.
Shoved my hand through that hole in the bulkhead and sorted it.
I actually removed the jets and replaced the washers.
I’ve got all the scratches and scars on my wrists to prove it. Hopefully now will never need to be done again !

Tim, one loose washer jet on my car was held tight with the use of an O ring. A bit unsightly, but hands unscratched.
I’d recommend choosing something stronger than tea, unless you plan on dunking biscuits.

You can have your cake and eat it.
Try dunking shortbread in (Scotch) whisky. If you're not too precious about the particular brand of whisky, of course.

Tim, do you have any tips and pictures of that nozzles tightening or replacement?

Hi Serge,
No photos unfortunately. It is a job which is best suited to those with small hands unless you are into scratches and (mild) pain.
I did mine with the windscreen in place, I’m told that if the screen is out it’s easier.
Anyway I removed the dash top, cubby box and rev counter.
Wipers off, from inside remove the 2 nuts holding the wiper linkage to the arms that connect to the actuators .
Remove the wiper bezel assembly complete. Take extra care not to drop anything, particularly the angled aluminium fittings on the inside of the wiper bezels. If you do drop them they disappear into the bowels of the bulkhead and are a right bugger to retrieve! No need to remove the wiper rack, just push out of the way.
My jets were secured with wing nuts. I fitted new tubing which I left with plenty of spare hanging out into the cockpit. Threaded the nuts with new washers onto this. The idea being that if you drop the nuts then again they won’t disappear.
Quite hard to get these wing nuts suitably tight, I used needle nosed pliers..
Then connect up the tubing and as they say reassemble.
It’s not complex just fiddly due to space constraints.
I used a small Led torch to give some light.
When complete retreat to the kitchen, source sticking plasters and suitable refreshments.
