Back in the fifties, they supposedly intended to build 100 cars but only built 75 before withdrawing from motor sport. They then decided to use the remaining bodies to build road cars called XKSS and managed to build 16 before the Browns Lane fire of 1957.
Last year they built the "missing" 9 XKSS's, and that's the 100 quota reached. So how can they suddenly build another 25 cars, claiming they are the missing ones? What do they do for chassis numbers?
Surely not another cynical marketing campaign trading on heritage and nostalgia?
