Well that went well. A lot of positives, Our defence proved unshakabe, Roony played great, and Lampard was the man of the match. No need for technology in this game, the Ref got it right every time.
I think the Germans were a bit lucky!!!!.
"What an absolute loads of pants" Are we doing any better at tennis or the GP?

Yes Brits doing better in F1 and now on to Wimbledon, but for how long?
Tony to answer your question, I'm not sure regarding fitting 3.8 manifold to 4.2, would expect it to be no problem. I'm fairly confident when they changed to 4.2 the manifold changed the same time. This car is a bit of a mix when you consider 3.8 manifold and 1.5/2 door cards/opening handles, but it's still an e-type and things can be changed if you wish.

Tony and John : you can fit 3.8 manifolding to a 4.2 , but it requires a water passage in the head to be blanked off. The factory never did it, and all 4.2s come with the one piece manifold . To tell whether an engine is 3.8 rather than 4.2 ( apart from the engine nos which are not always reliable) have a look on the lower right side of the block ( under the carburetters so it's best seen from below) where it is clearly cast with 3.8 or 4.2 litre
