The HMRC scam has reappeared. If you receive a quite plausible looking suggestion by e mail that a tax refund is due to you, ignore it. It is a phishing expedition to obtain not only your bank details, but also date of birth, National Insurance details etc

Surely the very implausibility of this is in itself a dead giveaway!

As a rule the tax man taketh away...anyway the hmrc website will tell you they NEVER send unsolicited emails of this nature..delete...
