Planning my annual leave (read lads weekend jaunt) around Shelsley Walsh and the Classic Nostalgia weekend, in July, I noted that the E Type Club are there on the Sunday with a designated parking area. As I'm a long standing member and travelling from Highland area and collecting a second E Type along the way, I thought I'd enquire about parking the 2 cars (S1 & S3) with them and bolster numbers (always looks impressive with more). I was informed I could park at a cost of £47 per car, as it covers lunch :wow:
Decided to park with the non red trouser brigade at £30 for the whole weekend (early bird discount) and will get a damn fine feed & water at the stables thankyou very much. Maybe I should have enquired about military discount  although I feel that would be a wasted line of enquiry.
Rant over :wavegreatbritain:

I left the E Type Club some years ago when they simply started to become too greedy. I understand they are a commercial profit-making organisation, but at one stage it was also run for the benefit of members. now it's purely for the benefit of Phil's pockets

I left the club a couple of years ago for the same reasons. Membership kept going up and It had become far too expensive to take part in any of the organised functions. I have said this before on a different thread, but a few years ago for me and the wife to take part in one of the events would have cost more than i paid for our OTS. They did provide a good magazine though. I have now joined a local classic car club (SDCCC) that organize there own shows plus days out and regular meetings.

I'm currently looking for a pre war special project (Riley etc) to take into retirement, (near future), so will look towards joining the VSCC as an option.
