A family of four is enjoying a nice day at the zoo. When they arrive at the elephant's pen, little Johnny's curiosity is piqued.
"What's that long thing on the elephant?" he asks his mother. She replies, "That's his trunk; it's his nose and he can pick things up with it."
"No, Mum, that other long thing!" The mother, now getting a little nervous, replies, "That's his tail."
Still not satisfied with her answer, Johnny repeats his question. "NO! I mean, what's that long thing UNDER the elephant?" His mother, now thoroughly embarrassed and a little irritated, says, "It's nothing!"
Still hoping to get a satisfactory answer, Johnny poses this litany of questions to his unsuspecting dad. When asked about that "...long thing under the elephant," Dad replies, "Johnny, that's the elephant's p*nis."
Johnny thinks for a moment, then asks, "How come Mum said it was nothing?" Dad thinks for a moment, and in a quiet voice says...
"How I've spoiled that woman!"
