#1 trim help

Post by jaime » Tue May 18, 2010 4:45 pm

hi, i've nearly finished the interior in my E type FHC. Im having trouble with the capping that goes round the inside of the rear door opening, im not sure if it goes under or over the panels and the headlining and it's a real pig to fit. does anyone have any tips or pictures how it should look? the capping is from aldridge trim, any better ones out there?

Try the following company
GB Classic trim Nuneaton tel 02476 325928, ask for Stan.
They have just completed the interior of my early series 1, and the results are excellent. Stan probably knows as much about e type trim as anybody, he worked at Jaguar fitting it.
He also informed me that my car was probably an experimental department vehicle as there are certain body/trim elements that he has only seen on vehicles that came from this department.
Hope to be able to post pictures soon, when Ihave worked out the method - not to clever with computers.
Hope this is helpful.

Tony

Can you post the pictures here? Pictures are always good to have as my car comes back from the painter next week then the fun bit begins putting it all back together....
