Bonhams Zoute Sale
#1 Bonhams Zoute Sale
Anyone see the OBL sell no reserve for £117k plus premium? What a shocker. I'd be gutted.

Gutted would be buying a Porsche Taycan turbo S EV for £187,000 and finding it was worth £78,000 three years later. Even worse a Mercedes EQs EV which cost £84,000 new is now valued at £48,000 ... after three months! Classics are not immune unfortunately and prices across the board are dropping. Restoration is now a passion project with little chance of recuperating expenditure.

To be noted, there was a Saleroom notices by Bonhams for that car:
"Although the head and engine block bear the correct serial numbers with an accurate font, and the block itself has a casting number indicating an early manufacture, we are unable to categorically confirm the authenticity of the engine."
A surprising comment...
Maybe that played a role for the potential customers of an OBL as they are usually quite keen on originality.

Yes, seems an odd note to add. Why the doubt?paydase wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 9:10 amTo be noted, there was a Saleroom notices by Bonhams for that car:
