Tony:
Same problem here too. I noticed that on the log-in page it showed "0 users online", so I assume there are problems with the system.

Currently appears to be all up and running "121 users online"

A table in one of the user databases had become corrupt, which caused a few anxious moments amongst the Jag lovers 'workers'....but all fixed now.

I would imagine that the system, one of the earliest on the web and has grown and grown, probably needs a good old overhaul by now!

Said overhaul is underway. The tech types are in the middle of importing and filtering the 1.5 million archive posts, trying to sift out off-topic or repetitious stuff as they go, to improve the quality. I cannot believe they are actually looking at them all but somehow this process is underway with a mix of automated QC and human QC. It would have finished by now for the new-look web site software but as you might imagine, there have been snags.

As one of the Admins I've commented on the new site and it looks a lot fresher and less cluttered. It will be an improvement, though there are bounds to be bugs to iron out initially of course. I think these two sites are very complementary.

It's a nightmare of a job to do, Peter, with software patches on top of patches on top of stuff that hasn't been supported for years. The techies on JagLovers are earning their corn....or at least, khama!
