#1 Retrofit seatbelts - How invasive ?

Post by dudlow » Thu Aug 23, 2012 10:29 am

Can anyone tell me how invasive it is to retrofit seat belts, however basic, to a series 1 or 2 roadster please. Also, any idea of cost. Thanks.

CMC do a set that mount in the boot of a roadster with just the belt coming into the car. Worthwhile checking out their website.

The mounting points should already be there, at least they were on my '63 UK delivered roadster.

Apart from the belt lying across the seat, you only see were the belt attaches to the rear shelf.

Belts were AUD 88 ea and add a couple of hours for installation

#5 series 2 roadster seatbelts

Post by Dean052 » Sun Sep 09, 2012 8:07 am

Someone has fitted inertia reel belts to my series 2 roadster by fixing onto the parcel shelf... the hood doesn't stow as neatly as it should.
Has anybody any ideas?
