Thats fine you can call any time, though you might have to tweak your budget by ?50 or so.

Have to say I hated the programme and complained to my wife all the way through. As soon as I saw who was hosting the show I knew it was going to be a botch job.
The trouble is like all sadists, I bet I will end up watching it again just because it is about cars. How sad am I

#24 Response from Channel 5
His is the totally useless response to my complaint that the costs presented mis-lead viewers.
Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding Classic Car Rescue.
We were sorry to read that you were unhappy with aspects of Episode 1 of this new series. The programme?s premise is to illustrate how Bernie Fineman and Marco Pacione cope with restoration jobs with a ?tight deadline and an even tighter budget? while also giving some background into why each selected model is held in the high regard that it is. It is not intended to, and does not claim to, demonstrate the detailed effort and finance that can go into the high end restoration of classic cars.
We appreciate that the programme?s approach will not be to the taste of all classic car restoration enthusiasts. There will always be a dissonance of views about the content, style and format of our programmes but please remember that programmes that you do not like may be appreciated by other viewers and vice versa.
Nevertheless, this does not diminish the validity of your opinions and we are grateful to you for taking the time to make us aware of your concerns. Your comments have been logged in our Viewer Enquiries Report. This is circulated throughout the company and seen by all relevant personnel.
Thank you for your interest in Channel 5.
Yours sincerely

Old topic I know but had to laugh at all your responses!
I almost threw the controller at the tv when they put that glass eighties sunroof in. I mean not just the bad taste, those things always leaked. Might as well put Everest windows on Windsor castle.
Having said this, the programme made me look at E types again and now I pick up my project later this week. Budget wise not far off the C5 show... ?12k to buy, ?8-10k for parts. Labour, well that's me, so many cups of tea and choccie biscuits.
By the way, the car is born, plane is born etc series was a con too. The guy did not do the work and the plane never actually flew - it has still not flown, they got in another to do the 'flight test' in.
