many car forums have much more macho language and an almost competitively absurd desire to demonstrate self promotion. This forum, along with the US jag-lovers.org site simply don't fit that mold and so a new poster may actually be a bit disorientated when he finds that fancy monikers/avatars and fist waving are not the norm.

I love that aspect of this forum; the fact that (mostly) everyone communicates well and doesn't say anything they wouldnt to someones face is most refreshing. The Ferrari and Lotus forums that I also sometimes frequent are tiresome with the amount of testosterone fuelled keyboard warrior types you find there, constantly belittling, ranting and sounding off.

No one should expect to compare someone to a Nazi and get away with it.

this is the trouble with forums and the internet in general.
people are far more inclined to say things they would not dare, or be so rude to say to the person in real life.
the cutting remarks can be re-read by the offended, unlike only being spoken verbally once.
much like people do when they cut you up in traffic, safe in their vehicles.
they wouldnt display this kind of attitude if they met you on the pavement.

Aren't the watch hands at those positions because they are supposed to remind us all of the correct position of our hands on the steering wheel?
Does this mean Heuer needs constant reminding of this considering his choice of picture/avatar?
Does he leave his car clock fixed at 13:50 just in case he forgets?

I dont undertand this thread...I thought that all etype clocks dont work (well thats what Angus said about mine as an excuse...)and so thats why they are stuck at 10 to 2...? :(
