It looks fantastic, Angus and his crew have done a fantastic job. I'd be very interested in more pics of the rear light set up.

Angus and the chaps have done an amazing job. Many thanks to many of you for your help and advice....including David who sealed the body colour scheme by showing me his beautiful car...Dave K and John (who took me out in his) and of course Marek for his beautifully engineered rear and front lights. The car has been set up for practical everday driving....its not going to be a trailer queen but going to be driven regularly. Happy to talk about the final spec at Bicester...But it is my view of how the car could be gently updated without losing the essence of what an E type is or was....it will be interesting to see what its like to drive. I will upload the directory of shots re the renovation on photobucket. I really wish I had the skills that many of you have, would have loved to do the restoration myself, but getting too old and impatient! By the way I sold my two classics (Healey 3000 and Mercedes 500 SL)to fund this rebuild....so its been painful in its own way.....
The basic upgrades...high powered and covered headlights, upgraded suspension, Stage 2 engine, slighly wider tyres, rear light clusters, inertia seatbelts, MX5 seats, radio ariel in windscreen, modern alternator, starter, silicon hoses, heat/ sound insulation...any modifications are reversible back to standard.

I have watched the final coming together of your car during my visits to Angus to check on mine (it's the Regency Red S2 OTS) which is coming to an end some a somewhat less involved RHD conversion and a total stripdown of the suspension and running gear, converting to a 3.07 diff and triple SU's. I have been "persuaded" to do a few other things and your car was always the example shown to me for the final sell!

Love the paintwork and the interior, those are ones on mine that will have to wait for another rainy day, I want to get it out and drive it right now , so hurry up Angus.

Would you mind sharing the spec for the higher output headlamps please, I would like to do this kind if thing when I get to the electrics side of my restoration...is it anymore than Davids thread about direct wiring routes and relays ?

Hi Jonathan, its is the relay wiring mod coupled to Quadoptic H4 headlights. Reports back from Customers and Marek is that it really does make a huge difference.

MarekH, if you are going to be at Bicester can I ask you to bring info of your various LED lights, the covered headlamps etc., so that we can see what you've engineered to improve the E Type?
I have your front sidelight lenses and the advantage of Elan rear lights, but I'm sure lots of us would appreciate seeing what else you have.

Yup, I heard the same rumour that something arrived ?

Ok chaps...it arrived, and Santa (AKA Moss) delivered it on the back of a trailer..not because it broke down ! but because of salt on the road..now cold weather (salt) and rain have stopped me driving it much..only down 40 miles...will post photos when it bleedin stopped raining....
Needless to say it drives like a dream..like all rebuilds need a slight bit of fettling, but it is awesome...
Quiet to poodle along (only done 100 miles on new engine) but when I put my foot down it goes like a scalded cat (well seems like that to me) and with the exhaust it suddenly goes from a refined cruiser to a beautiful yob like noise... Angus and the team have done a great job...and its all that I dreamt of.
I never drove the car when I originally bought it from Angus..but its all that I wished for, a cruiser that has real power...and it actually stops as well.
On the day I drove it (Monday), just sat outside a cafe and drank a coffee and took it all in, absolute beauty......even shwmbo is itching to drive it (doesnt even care what it does to her hair)...will be fitting Dave Kerrs windbreaker to her this weekend (the car not the wife)so even that point will be dealt with. I have to put on another 400 miles (thats a tough job )and then back to Angus workshop for check, oils change and head torque...then start putting on miles...as I said will post some piccies...but see you at Bicester...will give the keys to Angus so that he can go through the spec etc........needless to say I am a happy bunny...and yes have changed my signature... But photo will take longer...

Do you know if he is still selling the windbreakers and if so, do you have his contact info? I love my OTS and driving it with the wind in what's left of my hair, but on a long drive at highway speeds, the buffeting can get pretty tiring. Last July I did about 500 miles at 70-75 mph with the hood up (to avoid buffeting) and ambient temperature hitting about 95 F. At the end of the trip, I was exhausted, mainly from the heat. I'm planning a similar trip in June and I understand that the windbreaker, if it's one of those behind the seats screens, does a great job of cutting down on the buffeting while allowing airflow to keep the felt temperatures down.
