Just heard that Aston Martin are going to produce 25 "previously unmade" DB4 GTs, at 1.5 million a piece - all sold already! Jumping on the bandwagon eh?; but I wouldn't mind one!

Jaguar copied Aston - the continuation DB4 Zagato's were produced in the 1980's!

I have grave misgivings about this " continuation" business . I think that it has damaged Jaguar's reputation, with a bunch of very expensive but effectively useless cars in the shape of the "lightweights" having been put together, and it leaves a kind of smear hanging over the genuine cars. Not satisfied with that, the trick is now being repeated with XKSS. Never the most desirable cars in the first place , so why make more of them ? It all smacks of a triumph of greed over judgement , and sooner or later one of the manufacturers who are up to these tricks is going to catch a major cold over it

Andrew.
Regarding the perception of the LWE.
Check out the RAC top 10 most significant classic cars of all time. Number 2 suggests a wider held different perspective!
£6M for the Bob Jane car seems reasonable in the grand scheme of things
