During 2016 something like 200 E-Types were added to the total registered with the DVLA. The total now registered is almost 6,700, of which almost 5,000 are taxed, insured and MOT'd.
A number of these 'new' cars will have been 'barn finds', cars that have been hidden away in garages, lock-ups (or barns) for many decades. A larger number have probably been imported from countries like the USA.
