JAGUAR 1960’S E-TYPE TAXI WILL GIVE LONDONERS THE COMMUTE OF THEIR LIVES

Commuters in central London will be treated to a taxi ride to work that they will never forget, in what Enzo Ferrari called ‘the most beautiful car ever made’ - the Jaguar E-type. On Tuesday 28th March 2017, the Jaguar E-type taxi will take London’s busy workers to offices, meetings and appointments, to mark the launch of the new build-your-own Jaguar E-type model series “Build the Jaguar E-type” from global leader of partwork publishing, De Agostini.

Operating for one day only, London’s commuters can book the Jaguar E-type taxi, voted the UK’s favourite classic car in 2015* in advance, and ride in the 1960s icon, and be the envy of their co-workers, family and friends.

Commuters can book the E-type taxi by tweeting @DeAgostiniUK before midnight on Friday 24th March, stating the name of the station they would like to be picked up from (Marylebone, Farringdon, Liverpool Street, London Bridge or King’s Cross), their preferred time of day, and central London destination, including the hashtag #Etypetaxi within the tweet. *

Terms and conditions apply. Please check DeAgostini’s Facebook page for full terms and conditions at http://www.facebook.com/DeAgostiniPublishing
Applying for an E-type taxi ride will open 00.01 Wednesday 15th March and closes 23.59 Friday 24th March.

Yeah, right. I took the trouble ( I cannot imagine why ) to read the terms and conditions

Condition 11 says this "11. The Prize may be subject to additional terms and conditions, including but not limited to DeAgostini’s terms for service. The Winners agree that the cost of and the responsibility for complying with such terms and conditions will be borne solely by the Winners. All third party terms and conditions relating to the Prize are beyond the control of DeAgostini."

Quite what this is intended to mean I cannot imagine, but I would not touch it with a bargepole

All part of advertising the 1/8 scale subscription kit sent out over 100 weeks at a total cost of about £900. More info here: viewtopic.php?p=81804#p81804

What disappoints me is the poster could not even be bothered to personalise the message as intended, preferring to leave in all that crap about "listings release" and conditions. PR is not what it used to be!
