Jaguar Heritage
http://www.jaguarheritage.com/heritage-certificate

should be able to help you trace from the body number.

"Where numbers are not provided, we enter “Number not supplied by enquirer” ...
"if an application form is accompanied by a copy of the V5C/Title document, any missing or non-original
numbers will be replaced by the numbers from the build records, prefaced by the word “Originally”.

Try putting the body number into http://www.xkedata.com you may find it you should have more than the body number....what model is it....colour, engin, etc...

The body number is often written in crayon in the dash panel, rear door. Mine is still visible on the door if I take the trim panel off.

Hi EType67,

Be warned that a first post such as yours is often regarded as somewhat suspicious given all you seem to have is a body number.

Always best to introduce yourself and explain how much of the car you have and it's history then I'm sure we'll be happy to give advice. Why no picture frame or chassis plate ? Do you not have paperwork (V5) showing the chassis number ?

Regards,
