A really great day at Windsor yesterday. Awesome number of Jaguars, according to Tony O Keefe the largest display of Jaguars anywhere in the world ever. He announced that there was only one model missing from the line up in the cavalcade but then failed to inform us which car was missing. I didnt see a SWB Series One XJ12 thought and I have one of those at home. Indulge me! Mine first

I was elsewhere yesterday, but I did catch a lot of photos posted on some web sites by SM & PJ Insurance. Also caught some photos of some poor chap's E that found something unyielding in its path. He never made it.

Lovely set of photos Andrew, looks like a great event. A selection of lovely cars, that maroon OTS in particular looks great with biscuit interior. Maroon with beige was the combination of Richard's 4.2 which I came to quite like as you don't see it that often. Interestingly enough I recognise the dark blue flat floor (YUU II) as the chap (John Wilkes) only lives a few miles up the road from me in Derbyshire. A small world indeed.

I had a long chat with the owner of YUU11. its chassis 850131 ( I do wish I could have remembered my school work as easily as I recall this sort of stuff. He was a very nice chap, and the car looked pretty nice. Restored in Rochdale I think. He was telling me he had a fan upgrade on it, but it still overheated in Seville as the relay had failed. Interestingly one Aston Martin restorer I know does not fit temperature switches to his electric fans as he says you will not know if its working or not. He fits a switch and tells you to watch the temperature and fits a red light to warn you its on.

Had an update from the JEC this afternoon, they reckon 960 cars parked on the Long Walk and an additional 240 cars for the parade parked at Frogmore, very impressive sight to see

It was a great day with an incredible number of cars and so good to see them on the move. So glad I went!

Was a great event - far surpassed expectations. Some wonderful cars and loved the chat amongst fellow enthusiasts.

I never tire of how E Types produced so close to each other chronologically can be so different. Creates some good debate and laughs.

A long drive but worth the effort.

Yes, it's incredible how much improved a S2 is to a S1 ....
