My Nephew got married yesterday, and asked me to bring the E for a few wedding shots at the hotel they got married at. The plus was I got to leave my car in a private cordoned off area, where it stayed overnight while I got suitably inebriated, and the wedding photographer took a few pro shots just of my car which will be sent to me in due course. Here's a couple of pics I took:

Hi Malcolm, my daughter is getting married in August and I am providing my 2 pls2 as a wedding car. As you say it is more for a photo opportunity as the wedding is at one location so we can't "arrive" from anywhere! Hope the day went well!

Looks good, will be nice to have some pro photos as a keepsake.

Sometimes a bigger Jag is needed. My daughter's wedding in Cheltenham with the MkIX. She was tickled to see two of the same being used for the not-quite-royal wedding...

Daughter got married last weekend and I used the car for the wedding. I left the car outside the venue and I think it attracted as much attention with photos etc, as the bride.

All looking good.
I’ll be using mine as the groom’s transport in October so I’m looking closely at how you positioned the ribbons and bows! I did it once before, 26 years ago, when I was best man but I can’t quite remember if I tied them to the sun visor brackets or somewhere else!

Richard, I purchased a wedding bow set from eBay (£4.50) which consisted of three bows and a length of ribbon.
I stapled the three bows to the ribbon in the correct place’s, then tied two keyring circles to the ends of each ribbon.
I then cut an elasticated bungee cord in half, and tied the ends of the cords to the sun visors leaving the hooked ends OUTSIDE the car.
Doing it this way, I found it applied correct tension without ripping the ribbon, even with constantly opening the doors for photos etc.

Just back from driving my friends son to his wedding this morning. He is a huge E-Type fan and wasn’t aware this was going to be his ride to the venue until we turned up at his house. He loved the 20 minute trip and had plenty of pics taken by the photographer.

My Mk VII is much in demand as a wedding car, I only do it for friends & family, and never charge anything..
I did one wedding for a coleague's daughter and I think the (lady) photographer took more shots of the car than the bride!
