#1 Will it work?
Finishing a series one dhc has anyone put the wider v12 wheels on the rear and kept the series one wheels on the front?

Jaguar did, well at least 5.5j on the rear - see the SPC for details. Don't do it, you will upset the handling of the car unless you are going racing. For the road it will be compromised and pointless. Buy a 911 if you want that look but then Porsche did it for a reason.

#3 Re: Will it work?
Here's an old thread that gets into various wheel options for an S1 or S2:

Not sure about differing rim widths front to rear. I use 6" centerlaced Dayton wheel. 205/70 tires on the rear. 205/65 at the front. Handles fine. I'm sure steering effort is higher than skinny 185s or original bias ply, but I haven't driven that configuration. 215/65 would fit at the rear with 6"Dayton bead laced wheels (less offset)...but not with center laced. Trolly car/clown car look is gone. Works for me.
