I had bought some bits from M+C Wilkinson in the past, not as easy to do as clicking on buttons for SNGB but I reckoned that a firm with workshops ought to be facing the same problems as us, so ............
I had arranged, a few weeks prior, to stop by on my recent Road Trip, and have to say what a most helpful bunch of people they were.
Mike Wilkinson spent at least 2 hours both sorting a couple of details on my car, hands-on, himself, then moved a Revival car off a ramp and set a mechanic checking my diff-oil, changing my SU needles, advising on which wheel-bearing tolerances I'd got right or wrong etc etc, then showed me around the business and his own cars, and THEN took me out for a 20-minute drive in my car to tell me what was right or wrong (mostly right !) which was of immense value as where I live there are no others to compare with, no specialists to visit, and I have never driven another 3.8 in my life.
And then he offered to vouch for the car's value for insurance purposes.
Generally, people in the trade eventually get cynical, bored, and blasé.
Don't they ? Well, maybe that was just me then .....
Wilkinson Senior was the complete opposite - nothing was too much trouble, the passion was intact.
A great firm and one I hope to buy stuff off more often in the future.

I can second that Rory,
I recently bought a part that needed to go back because it was the wrong one. E mailed a pic, Danielle phoned me back within an hour to tell me she had the correct one in her hand and was sending it out to me straight away.
Getting on for three weeks and I'm still waiting to hear from a different well known supplier what is happening about a part supplied that was not fit for purpose.

Yup. Completely agree.
I've been down to them for bits for my mark 2 and they could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable.
I have absolutely nothing but praise for them.
