Think he,s already a bit low on those figures....there is a very low milage 2+2 comming up for auction soon something like 1500 miles from new....estimated £100k....will give more details when its confirmed for auction
Also there are already S2 2+2s on ebay for £60k and S3 for £80k

And a half decent 1.5 sold at Silverstone last weekend for IIRC just south of £60k.

They have a comparison from 6 to 140 thsd pound 70's cars -"which to buy now".

I guess the SM is a "buy one now" at 15 thsd ? And there's an XJ-S included - "Look, James has bought a grandfather clock" !


Sadly I can't get that mag hereover, but maybe I can find it online later.

Don't get carried away. No fewer than 7 E types failed to sell at the H&H Duxford auction last week. Food for thought?

Not sure the auction houses are the way to go. We had a car there that failed to sell. Sold it a week later for required price. Interesting to see that not many cars overall were sold.
