Hi All....Please note that the open day has now been cancelled. ....Unfortunatly there there just wasnt enough forum members wanting to attend to make the day successful many thanks to Angus for offering to host the event ....hopefully it can be rearranged for another time Thanks.. Steve

That's a real shame! I was looking forward to my first meet and looking over some details before my E goes in for restoration.

I think Angus needs at least 20 people to make the day viable.

What a shame. I was think of coming. That'd have been worth at least five people on its own, in terms of sandwiches eaten, you understand.

Is there no possibility to hold a smaller meet of say 10-15 people? doesn't have to be anything fancy, not even concerned with food/drink. Would rather see other E Types and talk to fellow owners/enthusiasts.

First of all thanks for everyone who showed an interest.

We haven't cancelled it, just delayed it. I propose a weekend in march next year so if anyone interested in coming along confirms Saturdays in March next year we'll go with the majority.

Saturdays in march are:

3rd
10th
17th
24th
31st

Angus (if l'd known Marek was coming l'd have asked for £50 ☺)

I'd have jumped at a chance to go on the Friday 7th or Monday 11th Sept, either side of The Revival weekend - not being difficult, much.

Is there anything else I should see around there between the 6th and the 11th ? - it's a quick in-out job.

HI Angus, have you thought any more about an open day?

Being selfish I can't make either of the first three Saturdays in March and the last one is the Easter weekend.
Jaguar spares day at Stoneleigh on Sunday the 18th March.

Hi Angus, I've put my name down for the JDC E Type seminar on the 8th April so might get myself in the really bad books to be AWOL on the 7th too.
I could probably escape on one day over Easter, so the 31st could work for me.

But let's see what the consensus is from the others who showed interest. After all I have an excuse already to need to catch up with you.

24th is perilously close to my final masters thesis hand-in (27th) so couldn't possibly commit to that at this stage. The 31st looks good, or a weekend in April perhaps.

By all means, the last person you should be considering is me but I would like to come! I will float the idea to Richard, see if he will bring the 3.8 FHC down
