Results from Gooding & co's auction were a bit shaky this time, especially for Porsche owners, some of which didn't get anywhere near estimate(s). But there was a beautifully restored Series I OTS 4.2 estimated at $220,000 - $260,000, (Lot 167) which sold for $308,000. Not bad, eh?

Not bad, but insane. I wish the prices would level off, otherwise I won't be able to afford to insure my car. Not to mention that we already have enough of a theft problem with E's being valued at a third of that price.

I did hear that car prices had started to dip. Early to tell yet. All my life I've had Astons - now I can't afford one. Sold a DB6 about ten years ago for just over £40,000. Thought prices were about to crash due to the political climate. Worth about £300,000 today. Bought my first DB 4 in the early 70's for £575. Oh for a crystal ball!
