I have just noticed on e bay there are for sale a number of early E Type parts all in good condition. These items include the complete soft top and frame (in very good condition), door drop glasses, headlamp glasses and door chromes. I was curious as to why these items might be for sale, perhaps someone converting to a Lightweight or maybe something more nefarious.

I suppose if a car was stolen and broken for spares e bay would be one way of selling such parts.

I genuinely hope that this isn't the case here but am curious as to why such items would be for sale.

Steve, when I click on your link I reach well the ad. But what is puzzling is that whichever direct search I do on ebait-uk, I cannot find it. I tried all combinations without success. Any guidance would be of interest.

Yes now it is ended, but it was still available this morning with bids already at £1650.
